Tom McGuire
Senior Consultant in Corporate Communications
From
2001 to 2006, McGuire was Vice
President
Communications at ASML of the Netherlands, global leader in
semiconductor production technology and listed on Euronext Amsterdam
and Nasdaq. He headed corporate, marketing and internal communications
across Europe, U.S. and Asia, including media relations, public
affairs, and environment, health, safety and social reporting.

McGuire
was a founding member of High Tech Connections (HTC), a public
private consortium created in 2003 by the Dutch Ministry of Economic
Affairs and U.S. Embassy in the Netherlands. He has served as Chairman
of every HTC Forum, including HTC III in San Francisco in September
2007. |

Before
ASML, McGuire performed executive interim missions in corporate
communications at Philips Electronic Components in Eindhoven and at
Origin, a global information technology firm, then part of the Philips
group. |
|
From
1988 to 1996, McGuire consulted for Brussels-based European
headquarters of 3M, AT&T, Colgate-Palmolive, DHL, MasterCard
and
Quaker. |

During
the 1980s, McGuire held senior positions in Brussels, Paris and
London at BBDO, a global advertising network. He started working
internationally in 1976 in Turin, Italy at Ferrero. He began his career
at BBDO New York. |

McGuire
has a marketing degree from Fordham University and was an
exchange student at the Universities of Moscow and Leningrad. He is
fluent in French and Italian; speaks basic Dutch and some Russian. |
